Chicken & Dressing Casserole

From the kitchen of Grandma Absher


1 whole chicken, cut up, cooked and boned
1 can cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
1 cup sour cream
Dressing (see below)


Place shredded chicken in bottom of 9 x 13 pan.  Mix next three ingredients and pour over chicken.

Make dressing according to directions on package.  I sauté onions and celery in 1 cube of butter and add to dressing. I also substitute chicken broth (that came from boiling the chicken to cook) for the amount of water the package calls for.   Place on top of chicken and bake, covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
This is a great do ahead casserole.  Just keep refrigerated until ready to cook.
