Our Purpose
GATHER God’s people together to GLORIFY Him through the GIFTS He has given them, and GROW them toward a mature faith and the desire to GO out to an un-churched world.
Our Beliefs
We believe the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the only absolute authority for all Christian belief and practice.
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Spirit. He sovereignly rules His universe and is bringing all things to their proper end according to His omniscient plan.
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for our sins and He rose bodily from the dead, later ascending triumphantly into heaven where He intercedes for us in God’s presence.
We believe that the primary ministry of the Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. To accomplish this during this age, He convicts men, regenerates those who should be saved, indwells, guides, instructs and empowers believers for godly living and service in Christ.
We believe that man, originally created perfect in God’s image, fell into sin in Adam, and consequently we are all by nature under God’s wrath and subject to both sin and death if left to our own dispositions and designs.
We believe that the substitutionary death of Christ and His resurrection provide the only basis for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only those who receive Him by faith and through God's grace are truly born of the Holy Spirit and thus become forever children in God's family.
We believe that water baptism (immersion) and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by each local church until Christ returns. These are symbolic (respectively) of the union of each believer with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection and of the communion of believers with God in the remembrance of Christ’s death. Neither of these ordinances is a means of salvation.
We believe that the true Church is composed of all persons who exercise saving faith in Christ and who thus become spiritually baptized into Christ’s Body. Each believer, being a priest before God, is gifted at salvation for a responsible role in the functioning of the Body.
We believe that only members of the true Church should be eligible for membership in the local church, those who profess personal faith in Christ and who have demonstrated their faith by obedience in the matter of baptism and by a growing consistency in their walk with Christ. The local church is to function directly under the authority of Christ and His Word.
We believe that Christ will return with power and glory to bring earthly history to its close according to His wise plan. We believe that all men will be resurrected bodily, the believers to everlasting blessedness in the presence of God and the unbelievers to judgment and everlasting conscious torment in the lake of fire, along with Satan and his angels.
