For over 3 decades, we’ve had a tradition at Fellowship Bible Church of providing the basics for a Thanksgiving dinner. These are given to FBC families who make a request for their own family, or on behalf of someone they know in the community, who for various reasons, would not otherwise have a special meal on November 28th.Most people can relate to how a simple act of kindness during a difficult time can mean so much more than any given material resource does by itself.
Done as an extension of God’s calling to minister to those around us, it can create, strengthen, deepen and help define relationships, and open channels of communication with those we wish to know better.
To that end, each meal will contain a greeting, an introduction to FBC, and an invitation to join us on Sunday.
How can we get involved? If you or someone you know would be encouraged by
RECEIVING a Thanksgiving meal, please let
Rich Berghammer know as soon as possible.
We will be providing a turkey and a grocery gift card. Please let Rich know who will be picking up the dinner, and how many dinners (if more than one). For example, if you are picking up for yourself and another family, then we just need to know your name and that 2 dinners are needed. Dinners will be picked up at noon on Sunday, November 24th outside the Fireside Room south parking area doors.
If you would like to
DONATE funds toward the Turkey Dinner Project, you can do so in several ways. Chris Potts will be collecting donations in the foyer after the service this Sunday. You can also give online with the button below, just select “Thanksgiving Meals” from the drop down menu. Or checks and cash can be designated “Thanksgiving Dinners” and placed in the boxes in the back of the auditorium. We’re hoping to have enough to provide around 50 meals.
