Meet our Staff: BRENT FAZIO

My path to becoming a Youth Pastor started in college. I observed some crazy high school kids with a Young Life leader at a concert. I decided to volunteer as a Young Life leader at Meridian High School for two years. After graduating from Western Washington University with a teaching degree in 1996, I took some time off from volunteer work until I started going to Praise Community Church. The Youth Pastor at Praise Community Church left, leaving a group of parents to run activities. I said I would help out with Youth Ministry and ended up enjoying my experience.

After I started dating my wife Kristel, I ended up at Fellowship Bible Church. I volunteered for two years before becoming the Youth Pastor at FBC. I have helped with Youth Ministry at FBC for over six years. Over the last few years I've also enjoyed becoming a dad to two beautiful girls: Hope and Josie. Being a parent has changed my perspective on Youth Ministry and helps me better understand the needs of youth at our church and in our community.

My favorite part of being a Youth Pastor is seeing youth get excited about what God is doing in their lives. The youth at FBC go to different high schools, private schools, and home schools but are interested in having a relationship with God. It is our love for God and each other that connects us together. We welcome new middle or high school youth to Sunday School, Growth Groups, and Youth Ministry activities.
