WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Where we are located:

We’re easy to find near the corner of Portland Avenue and East 38th, next to the Swan Creek Library. There’s an I-5 freeway exit for Portland Avenue (head south on Portland Ave) and also one for 38th Street near the mall (head east on 38th). Our street address is: 3806 E Portland Ave, Tacoma WA 98404.  If you somehow get lost, the phone in the church foyer will get you some help:  253-475-5941.  Get directions from here and see Google Streetview here.

How to dress:

Jesus said, “Whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me” (John 13:20). We want you to feel comfortable in worship. You will see people in all styles of modest dress here, from suit & tie and dresses, to jeans & t-shirts. The important thing is not your outfit. The important thing is that you’re here.

What to bring:

You are urged to bring your personal Bible, although scripture passages are commonly projected on the screen. Bring your family and friends. Bring a smile and/or a prayer request. And don’t forget your curiosity. We’ll do our best to satisfy it.

Where to park:

If you have mobility issues, the easiest access from the right side of the building directly into the auditorium (the set of doors on the left).

When you enter the building:

You can expect to share a handshake and a smile with one of our greeters. If you have any immediate questions, feel free to ask these friendly folks. They'll either have an answer for you or be able to direct you to someone who does. They will provide directions for your children and youth, as well as escort you to the nursery if you have an infant or toddler.

Extra assistance:

We offer hearing enhancement devices for those that need them. Just let the greeter know what you need. If you need assistance getting into or out of the building, our greeters will also assist you. Feel free to call ahead so we can be looking for you.
